A new experience for me and a lot to learn. I have been handcrafting jewelry for about 10 years and exhibiting and selling for 8. I work out of my home and it's a part time passion that takes over my dining room table half of the year!
I've exhibited at many indoor and outdoor craft shows and continue to source out beautiful beads to combine.
That day that I walked out of a bead store years ago after spending $150 I asked myself "Have you lost your mind?"! That's when I realized to be able to keep accumulating these lovely baubles for my newly found passion I would have to pass some of them on to more than friends and family.
So what to call my new enterprise? What sounds good with 'beads'? Well, my maiden name is Button and some of my creations included buttons so that worked. Button's Beads was formed.
I've been asked by enough people now about my non-existent website and/or my retail store (which doesn't exist either) that I've decided to take the plunge and try to put my beaded goodies on a blog.
